2009 Re invitation Team
A team of six persons from six organizations in six Asian countries was invited to Japan from November 29 to December 5.
As a new experiment in the invitation program, JILAF invited persons who had participated in the program in the past and, after returning to their own countries, been appointed to leading positions in their organizations to visit Japan again for one week.
In labour-related lectures, discussions, and other events the participants asked many questions about the worker-related policies of the new Democratic Party of Japan administration and its relationship with labour unions and expressed much expectation of the new government.
In addition, at a lecture titled "The Labour Situation in Six Asian Countries, Centered on Multinational Companies," the participants reported on the labour situation in their own countries. The participants, who had a good knowledge of multinational companies and on-site labour-management disputes, reported on and asked questions about such issues as specific labour disputes in multinational companies, the labour situation and labour-management disputes, and the impact of the financial crisis and response of labour unions. The program provided a good opportunity for the participants to compare the labour situation in Japan at the time of their previous visit and the recent labour situation. For JILAF, it was a very meaningful program as a follow-up on invited persons.List of Organization That Cooperated in the Visit
