Regular Exchange with the Korea Labour Foundation
A JILAF delegation visited Seoul on November 17-21 for regular exchange with the Korea Labour Foundation (KLF).
The JILAF held a bilateral seminar in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, on 14th November with a 40 participants in total, many of whom had taken part in the JILAF Invitation Programme before.
JILAF invited a team from Eurasia to visit Japan from November 10 to 23. The team consisted of a total of nine persons from six countries (Azerbaijan, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Moldova, Ukraine, and Uzbekistan).

Labour-Management Relations and Productivity Seminar (PROGRESS) held with VGCL in Vietnam
The JILAF and the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour (VGCL) jointly held a seminar on labour-management relations and productivity (PROGRESS) in Quang Ninh Province, Vietnam, on 26-29 October with the participation of 31 trade union leaders.
JILAF invited trade union leaders from India, Malaysia, and the Philippines and held an "Exchange of Views on Labour Situation" meeting on October 23 titled "Economic and Social Development and Employment/Labour Trends: Thinking about the Desirable Form of Labour-Management Relations amid Globalization."
JILAF invited a total of five persons from India, Malaysia, and the Philippines to visit Japan from October 20 to 26.
Industrial Relations and Labour Policy Seminars in Sri Lanka
JILAF held two labour-management relations and labour policy seminars in Colombo, Sri Lanka, jointly with the Ceylon Workers' Congress (CWC) and the National Trade Union Federation (NTUF), the national centers in that country. Each seminar was attended by 25 central and regional trade union leaders.
RENGO Holds 13th Biennial Convention
RENGO (Japanese Trade Union Confederation) held its 13th Biennial Convention at the Tokyo International Forum on October 3-4 under the slogan "Stop the stratified society*! Let's build a secure society through the solidarity of all workers!" About 1,400 union members from affiliated organizations participated.

JILAF invited 10 persons from eight countries in the Middle East and North Africa to visit Japan from September 29 to October 12.
Industrial Relations and Labour Policy Seminar in Thailand
JILAF held an industrial relations and labour policy seminar in Bangkok, Thailand, on September 14-15 jointly with the four Thai national centers1 affiliated with the Thai Council of the International Trade Union Confederation (ITUC-TC) and with the participation of three Indistriall organizations.
JILAF, together with the Confederation of Indonesian Trade Unions (CITU, or KSPI), held a labour-management relations and productivity seminar (PROGRESS) in the city of Makassar in South Sulawesi, Indonesia, on September 10-13.

The JILAF, together with the Confederation of Mongolian Trade Unions (CMTU), held a labour-management relations and labour policy seminar on 22nd and 23rd August, 2013, in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, with the participation of about 80 people from regional and industrial organisations, the government, and an employers' organization.
JILAF and the International Labour Organization (ILO) held a multinational seminar in Bangkok, Thailand, on August 21-25 on the main theme of unstable employment and countermeasures.

A JILAF delegation visited Thailand from July 24 to August 4, 2013, for the SGRA project, going to Bangkok and Chiang Mai, where the project is being implemented, and Khon Kaen with a view to expanding the project there in the future.

The JILAF and the Trade Union Congress of the Philippines-International Trade Union Confederation (TUCP-ITUC) held a labour-management relations and productivity seminar (PROGRESS) on 23-27 July in Manila, the Philippines.
JILAF invited a total of 10 persons (4 men and 6 women) from China and South Korea to visit Japan from July 21 to August 3.

JILAF visited Dhaka and Khulna in Bangladesh from June 25 to July 2 to observe the third Working Group (WG) meeting and a life support seminar in Khulna being held in accordance with plans for the Bangladesh SGRA project in the current fiscal year.
At the invitation of JILAF, a joint team of junior trade union leaders of Thailand and Indonesia visited Japan from June 23 to July 6.

In collaboration with the Cambodian Council of the International Trade Union Confederation (ITUC-CC), the JILAF held a seminar on labour-management relations and labour policy in Phnom Penh on June 21-22 with the participation of 60 trade union leaders and others.

The Korea International Labour Foundation (KOILAF) of the Korea Labour Foundation (KLF) invited four trade union officials from Japan to participate in its invitation program for trade union activists held in Seoul on May 19-24.
SGRA Project in Thailand (May)
A JILAF delegation visited Bangkok on May 15-23 for the 1st Enlarged Working Committee (EWC) Seminar, which was the first activity of the current fiscal year in the Thai SGRA (Supporting Grass-Roots Activities through the International Employers' and Workers' Network) project.
The SGRA (Supporting Grass-Roots Activities through the International Employers' and Workers' Network) has entered its 3rd year since inauguration. The project is subsidised by the Japanese Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare.
Informal School Management Meeting and Teacher Training Held in Nepal
On April 6, 2013, JILAF held a school management meeting in Kathmandu, Nepal, for the nine informal schools that it operates in that country in cooperation with the Nepal Trade Union Congress Independent (NTUC-I). About 40 teachers and school administrators participated in the meeting.
SGRA Project in Bangladesh (April-May)
JILAF visited Dhaka on April 4-11 to attend a WG meeting and to discuss and confirm such matters as a preliminary survey for bridging to existing vocational training programs offered by the government and nongovernmental organizations (NGOs), which is a pillar of the project for this fiscal year.
The SGRA (Supporting Grass-Roots Activities through the International Employers' and Workers' Network) project, which began on commission from the Japanese Ministry of Health, Labour, and Welfare, entered its third year in April 2013.
