The JTUC-RENGO delegation, headed by President Takagi visited All China Federation of Trade Unions (ACFTU) on Sep. 11 and discussed issues such as the world economic crisis, multinational enterprises, climate change, and abolition of nuclear weapons, among others.
Yoshio Takahashi, Executive Director General of JILAF, took part in this meeting and confirmed its future cooperation with ACFTU.

After the annual meeting between JTUC-RENGO and ACFTU, the Rengo delegation visited the Great Hall of the People for talks with Mr.Wang Zhaoguo, Chairman of the ACFTU (Vice-chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress).

President Takagi visits Prime Minister Hatoyama at the prime mister's office

Prime Minister Yukio Hatoyama, right, got down to work on Sep.17th following the launch of the Democratic Party of Japan-led Cabinet, 17days after the historic crushing victory of the general election held on Aug.30th.
His first work at the prime minister' office was to meet Tsuyoshi Takagi, President of the JTUC-RENGO at a 9:30 a.m.meeting with officials of Rengo.
During the meeting the new prime minister thanked Takagi for all he and his fellow trade unionists had done to support the DPJ in the election.
Prime Minister Hatoyama and President Takagi agreed on the need for new reinforcement of measures for employment. More specifically, Rengo requested the government to increase subsidies for employment adjustment and to eliminate the limit on financial assistance for unemployed workers in job training programs.
