1989

Establishment of JILAF

Tadanobu Usami assumes office as the 1st President.
Started Invitation Programs.
*Provided labor education equipment to 13 countries and 1 region as an equipment provision project.

1990

Started "Labor Situation Hearings".

1991

Started publishing Newsletter.

1992

Started International Program and Scholarship provision co-hosted with Singapore Institute of Labour Studies (SILS).

1993

Held Asia-Pacific Regional Conference co-hosted with ICFTU-APRO.

1994

Started Field Projects / Started POSITIVE (Participation-Oriented Safety Improvement by Trade Union Initiative) Program.

1995
