| Dispatching teams from Japan for exchange
and experience |
In cooperation with RENGO, JILAF dispatches International Exchange Teams of Japanese
union leaders to countries in the Asian region every year. The purpose of these
visits is to enable Japanese union leaders to learn about the labor situation
in other countries and to deepen mutual understanding. During their visits abroad,
these teams visit national centers, factories and offices, educational facilities,
homes of union members and non-governmental organizations to learn and discuss
labor issues.
In particular, since fiscal 1996 JILAF has been dispatching teams of female union
leaders, for example from regional branches of RENGO, to give women a chance to
communicate with overseas unionists. |
