Helping to train young leaders in the labor movement

JILAF cooperates in fostering young union leaders in developing countries.
As one of it's activities in this field, JILAF dispatches instructors for the "Advanced Leadership Course" at the OTC Institute for Labor Studies (OTCILS) in Singapore, which is organized every year by the ICFTU-APRO. JILAF also provides assistance for young trade union members from Asia who participate in the course.

Fostering young Japanese trade union leaders

In addition, JILAF established in fiscal 1996 the "JILAF Training program for young trade union leaders" with the aim of fostering international-minded Japanese young trade union leaders who can play an active part in the international labor movement. Through this one-year course, which includes practical training on field projects as well as English-language training and labour-related lectures, participants gain basic knowledge and experience required for the international labour movement.
After completion of this couse,almost all of the members are active in global trade union movement.
